With love from Mom

Lisa is warm, loving, tough and honorable. She has a brilliance that comes from her understanding of others. She cares about the people she touches. As a teacher she will give guidance and support to students where they need it, but not allow sentiment to cloud her judgment when she works to enhance their strengths. She is a fourth generation teacher and the genes are in her soul. She loves what she does.

She will work tirelessly to overcome a task that is hard for her. She never gives up and even smiles when recommending we play another round of a game she just lost. A rare quality in this family.

I have watched her from the moment she was born and these qualities have always been there. She draws her strength from within. She needs a bit of quiet time each day to recharge her batteries and God help you if you mess with that needed time. Believe me that it is worth it.

When she wanted to ride a two wheeler bike even though she was younger than her friends, she fell down, got up, fell down and got up so many times that I wanted to beg her to stop, but she would not give up and before the sun set that day she could ride a two wheeler.

I have known and loved her from the moment she was born. She was a good baby, a sweet child, a teenager who could handle guidance and she has grown to be a woman who I admire every day. You only have to look at her children to know the mother that she is. You only have to know her to know the person she is.

Lisa, With love, respect and admiration I wish you a Happy Birthday . . .it has always been and will continue to be a pleasure to be your Mom.

With love from Becky

You are my rock. You give me the strength to explore, to love, and to hope. You have given Lauren and I everything a mother can give to her daughters and so much more. Regardless of the struggles that life has bound you in and the past you wish to change, no daughter could ever ask for a more perfect, REAL woman to call her own, her protector, her MOTHER.

MY MOTHER is the most beautiful woman in the world and I would not want to be any other’s mini me. I, Rebecca Freedman, am Lisa Freedman’s daughter and I want the world to know it.

With love from Lauren

No one can ever be compared to you. You’re undying generosity and love are what make you, you. I could never have wished for a better mom if I had a choice. You’re the greatest role model I have and I’m proud to call you my mom. Even though Becky and I are leaving the nest, nothing will ever jeopardize the love and appreciation we have for you. Our futures will take us to unknown places, but nothing will ever separate us. You are the best mother, friend, confidante and motivator. To say that I love you is an understatement, but I love you mummy! Happy birthday!

With love from Jeff

Lisa,

There are a million things that I could say and a million words that I could write, but those words can never truly express the depth of my feelings.  So I will simply say a few things:

My life truly began January 4, 1984.

I am a much better person because of you.

While every day of the past 29 years together hasn’t always been easy, our love is the stuff that fairy tales and legends are made of.

Our daughters are the luckiest women in the world to have a mother and role model like you.

Your eyes hold a world of wonder and your smile and laughter are infectious.

You grow more beautiful every day — both inside and out.

I will always be by your side as we walk together hand-in-hand into the future, and look forward to seeing what the next 50 years has to bring!

Happy, happy, happy 50th birthday, my truest love, my soul mate, and my best friend!

<3

With love from Aunt Bette

Dearest “Wassa”,

I can’t believe it’s been 50 years since my sister brought home her adorable baby girl. Her name was Elizabeth and I was thrilled that she had the same name as me. (All of the Elizabeth’s in the family turned out to be teachers.)

I remember the happiest baby but when you weren’t, your grandfather would hold you up on his shoulders and walk you through the garden telling you the names of all the flowers. I remember your grandmother holding you and going “Ah-boo!” in your face and you exploding in giggles. They adored you!

Wassa and Bette

I also remember you swinging on the furniture and when we asked what you were doing you’d say “winging”.

I found a letter my mom wrote me when I was overseas and she said you were laughing one day and she said “Lisa you laugh just like Bette and you said ‘I should, I hung around with her enough.'”

Here’s to more laughter!

You’ve always been a gift to our family and the world!!

Happy 50th Birthday Dear Niece,

Love, Aunt Bette

With love from Kristin

Lisa is truly a special friend. She has a beautiful, friendly face that always can put a smile on your face even in the worst situations. I have not other friend that can make me laugh as hard as Lisa. I laugh so hard I have to cross my legs so I do not pee myself. Though I love hanging out with Lisa in the social scene, I have a hard time sitting next to her in a movie theater. Her sense of humor often brings me to tears because I laugh so hard. The rest of the movie theater guests “know” that we are there.

Lisa is often very literal. She is very willing to help with running errands and making copies. I have learned that you must be very specific, or you never know how Lisa might interpret your directions. I am often completely surprised when she returns from the errand.

We appreciate the fact that Lisa often takes on the burdensome tasks for the science department like cutting fishing line or carpet. Or maybe I should say, Jeff and Lauren take on the tasks. The Freedman family is very helpful to the WP Science Department.

I love you Lisa!!!!!!

Happy BDay from Lisa DeFalco

Lisa, my ‘sister from another mister’! I am so grateful to have you in my life. You have such a great way of bringing people together. You are the key inspiration for extending the TPG family to spouses and kids and I am forever appreciative of how easily you engage and create a strong family unit that extends far beyond the Freedman name 🙂

Love you and Happy Birthday!

Lisa
